As a Rep Channel Manager, my role was to work with local and regional manufacturers' representatives to identify and support clients using the SENTRY sensor data as it relates to their clients' water treatment process and the known or unknown events or fluctuations within that process which may be impacting treatment effectiveness.

- Norman Zavalkoff Research Scholar- Building on thesis work by Naama Shapira, I worked on identifying and evaluating case studies, and developing models for analyzing and simulating the implementation of a 'non-cooperative' game approach to negotiations between environmental and economic actors.

This role was the progression from my previous role with Westlund/Emco. It required me to focus on growing our market share and profile with customers by building relationships with customers, developing and maintaining our ISO 9001-certified quality program nationally. I was also tasked with building customer and organizational loyalty by assisting local managers in growing our national accounts and bidding and delivering projects of between $800k and $20M.This role involved a significant aspect of leadership, training, and development as I worked with managers and our Regional Vice President to evaluate our team, our resources, and our performance across the country, facilitate formal and informal training courses, and endeavour to build capacity and knowledge within the organization. My goal in this role was to position us as market leaders in our industry.

In this position, I was the coach of a Learn-to-Run group which runs 3 times per week. I presented on topics pertaining to running, book guest speakers, plan routes, and run with the group at each session.I also served customers and sold products in store, providing gait analyses and helping customers to find the right shoes, apparel, gear, and nutrition for their athletic endeavours.

As an Au Pair, I took care of two young girls over the course of the year. Helping them with homework, teaching them English and doing some cooking and cleaning. In this environment I was often required to deal with conflicts, manage time, and contribute to keeping the workplace (home) clean, tidy, and safe.

In these positions, I continued to develop my lifeguarding and instructing skills, adding teaching Advanced First Aid to my experiences. I was also able to work on relations with patrons and the public and develop my cash handling skills - all in a very bilingual setting.; In this position I was part of a crew that was responsible for taking care of the City of Mississauga Parks within our area. In this capacity, I learned how to maintain the park in terms of grass cutting, hedge trimming, and litter clearing, and learned safe and efficient practices for all those tasks.

As a cashier at The Beer Store, I worked with fellow cashiers and managers to serve customers in a quick and friendly manner. I gained knowledge of workplace safety, as well as many different beers and how to locate them in the stock room and in the computer. I also developed the ability to handle various coupons, licenses, and permit sale, and worked first hand with recycling large amounts of empties and cardboard.

As a lifeguard and instructor, I performed all my duties and successfully worked as part of a team or as an individual if required. As Deck Supervisor, I dealt with all patron complaints, questions, and concerns. I monitored what was occurring in different parts of the facility at all times, evaluated fellow staff and helped them to learn and implement new techniques and procedures. I was in charge of taking pool tests and ensuring that the facility was safe and clean throughout my shift, as well as registrations and cashing in and out at the beginning and end of my shifts. At one pool, I was also responsible for helping to plan fun themed event days for patrons on weekend swims.

As LTR Head Coach, I was in charge of putting together and running the Learn-to-Row, Kids’ Day Camps, and Row-for-Heart programs at the Don Rowing Club. I was responsible developing a curriculum for the program, keeping track of registrations, training the coaching staff, and supervising the implementation of the programs over the course of the summer. I was also responsible for dealing with complaints or concerns, providing information for those who inquired about the programs. Lastly, I was responsible for planning and organizing two regattas – one for the Learn-to-Row program and one for the Row-for-Heart program. I also was required to write a report detailing my experience in the newly created position at the end of the summer so that the programs and position could be improved for next summer.
