A critical customer solutions role providing client/ customer contractual support for major construction projects, analytical insights and process change design & management• Implemented regular stakeholder engagement workshops for project business case and contract development, which in turn reduced the occurrence of costly stakeholder omissions and oversights.• Created new data insights on external customers, as my own initiative. This was well received by senior management and became part of the regular reporting agenda.• Developed the division’s communication system - CRM Dynamics – This required providing continuous training and mentoring to ensure overall organisational acceptance/deployment and managing continuous enhancements for improved usability.• Created a new project monitoring system that made it easier and quicker to report to senior management. Senior operational role at an open-cut mine for a multinational company with the core duty of contractor management and security of supply. Other duties included managing technical teams and service providers.• Greatly improved data integrity and analysis process to provided quicker turn-around times for high production periods, while still maintaining accuracy and quality.• Implemented several supply-chain focused initiatives to improve the overall confidence in meeting key KPI milestones. This also improved our month-to-month forecasts to senior management, which again, improved the overall confidence in the team.

A technical senior role requiring oversight of in-field activities, supervision and mentoring of a large team, management of contractors and report writing requirements. On a professional level, the role required ‘several hats’ such as human resource management, health and safety leadership, data analytics and procurement & supply management;• Increased the commercial viability of the project by re-evaluating data and providing better analytical methods for the team.• Coordinated the creation and documentation of numerous critical work processes to comply with organisational requirements. This also highlighted several issues which were subsequently addressed by process improvement initiatives.• Established a new matrix based service provider procurement process to facilitate easier and quicker decision making.

A technical based management supportive role for multiple, simultaneously running projects, each with unique specific objectives and priorities. A majority of my role required liaising between senior company management and contractors to provide continuous feedback on project progress and ensure that projects were tracking well according to the company’s long-term capital expenditure plan.

The role required the application of appropriate methods to ensure maximum quality control and optimum extraction from the resource. After establishing myself as a reliable employee, I was given the position of safety technical team representative for the open pit mining department. This required me to ensure that a high level of safety was practiced and adhered to, facilitate and drive incident reporting and advise on project decision making and risk analysis.

This required the maintenance and collaboration of New Zealand's legally bound property boundaries on a purpose built GIS application (MapInfo). This was achieved by collaborating raw survey data and aerial photographs for boundary placement and identification.
