I started learning electronics when I was in the seventh grade. A family friend who served in the Army with my brother, mentored me, teaching the basics, (this was back in the electron tube/ transistor days). By the time I was in the ninth grade, I was putting together audio amplifiers, pre-amps, and radio projects.After graduating high school in 1974, I attended Piedmont Aerospace Institute for Aviation systems engineering.In 1988 started ASA Technologies,In 1991, I came across an opportunity to purchase a mobile MRI scanner which had several operational issues and was determined to costly to repair by the manufacturer. I took possession of it in February of 1991, Even though I had no experience with the operation or maintenance of an MRI, It was fully operational by September of that year and at a cost of only $65,000 dollars, including the cost of the unit. I soon found there was a market for servicing this equipment. I started contracting medical systems service including MRI and CT scanners. In 1993 after acquiring Capital equipment, opened up North Point Imaging in Winston Salem, NC. In 1996 North Point Imaging was sold to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.In 2003 started Industrial Process Solutions, the company has grown in scope and reputation, clients Include Siemens, Goodyear, Perdue Agribusiness, Snyder’s Lance and BWXT Nuclear Operations Group to name a few. Also from 2006 to present have been developing alternative and green energy systems and hold seven US patients and three WPO patients.
