I am on a mission to empower young minds through a brand of smart teaching that helps them exceed their academic potential.Professionally, I lead the Think Teach Group of education companies that comprises (1) Think Teach Academy 🇸🇬 (a primary school powerhouse), (2) Macro Academy 🇸🇬 (a secondary school, JC and college counselling specialist), (3) One Academy 🇨🇳 (a China-based education consultancy), (4) EdXP 🌎 (a global EduTech platform), and (5) Think Macro Consulting 🇲🇾 (a Malaysia-based education business consultancy). The goal is for the group to offer the full suite of education-related services. We are sorely missing infant care. Clearly, there is still some room to grow. The Think Teach Group was born out of 10% vision and 90% grind and grit. It took years (and a whole lot of good fortune) forming the right partnerships and putting together a formidable team. To fit in, passion is a must. But above all, I look out for inspiring individuals with (i) the belief that there is always a smarter and better way to learn and teach, and (ii) the desire to attain and deliver that level. Hi, I'm Algene, a Singaporean born and bred. I am a lawyer-turned-entrepreneur/educator. While business in general brings me great joy, I focus almost exclusively on education. I cannot overstate the fulfilment I get from being in education. This is why, to this day, I continue to teach. My fellow business partners joke that I was able to leave the courtroom pretty quickly, but after almost a decade, they still can't pry me out of the classroom.
