I am a veteran of the UK game development industry working across PC, console and mobile since 1999.In recent years I’ve been responsible for the technical leadership of teams, starting as Chief Engineer at Wonderland Software through my role as CTO at Zynga Mobile UK to my current position as CTO of JiggeryPokery Ltd.Prior to that 7 years experience working as a programmer on the Fable franchise for Lionhead/Microsoft on Xbox and PC, mostly dealing with gameplay and UI.I take a holistic approach to game development, preferring to work back from the desired user experience to building everything needed to service and enhance it. On mobile this has involved building engines from scratch and personally implementing systems for graphics+animation, audio, user interface, AI and simulation.I’m particularly experienced in C, C++, C#, Objective-C, Swift, Java, Javascript and Lua but also adapt fast to new languages. I have also had some experience with the Unity and Unreal engines plus worked across many platforms including iOS, macOS, watchOS, Android and Windows/Xbox as well as NodeJS on the web.
