The IPS group is a specialized team dedicated to providing portfolio analytics and quantitative risk modelling to help stakeholders assess the risk/reward impact of different strategic investment decisions and make informed, prudent choices. As a Senior Specialist, I support the IPS team with the fulfillment of its mandate to provide institutional portfolio managers across all areas with ideas, innovations, and rigorous analytical capabilities that will allow them to work more closely with clients on building robust investment strategy decision frameworks and act as trusted advisors.

• Build and maintain financial models.• Provide analysis of any gaps in financial ratio estimates with Desjardins actual results and forecasts.• Conduct various IR and due diligence analysis to support the preparation of quarterly IR Board Reports and quarterly IR messaging and material.• Support development of investor presentations and investor Q&A.• Work closely with rating agencies (Moody’s, S&P,DBRS, Fitch) to monitor significant movements in Desjardin’s financial ratio.• Collaborate with corporate reporting and accounting teams to obtain and analyze financial and operating data.• Writing and preparing rating agency presentations and Q&A presentations.• Strong knowledges with business software and analytical tools, such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg.

• Produce and enhance risk reports as market, credit, counterparty and concentration risk.• Present and highlight risk reports to senior management on a quarterly basis.• Analyse P&C and Pension investment portfolio and perform stress tests on our P&C Portfolio.• Review and approve all Fixed Income and Preferred Shares Custom Benchmark.• Oversight and support the Middle Office in all aspects related to the collateral management and liquidity report.• Support development of an internal capital model.• Support operations and accounting group with any derivatives or data related issues.

• Developed an internal model in accordance with Solvency II requirements based on an Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA).• Elaborated a consistent cartography and risk mapping at different level within the company and the other AXA Canada’s entities.• Created Risk Coordination team and conducted regular meetings and interviews with risk owners. • Participated actively in the implementation of loss data collection processes.• Promoted Operational Risks Management by conducting training and awareness programs.Achievements:• Implemented and assessed AXA Canada top 20 risks and created an internal model to measure and monitor operational risks within the company.
