I am a senior researcher seeking to better understand how power distribution networks with a large penetration of variable renewable generation can be made more reliable using the flexibility of heat pumps and electric vehicles.My expertise include complex problem solving, project design and management, data analysis and interpretation, and development and dissemination of research tools.I love to generate innovative ideas and devise potential solutions to problems relevant to a sustainable energy future. This includes quantifying the resulting risks within these interdependent multi-vector energy networks and exploiting new opportunities for mitigation. It will be established how uncertainties propagate through interconnected and interdependent energy networks, which methods are useful to quantify uncertainty on across different timescales and locations, and which are the best methods for communicating uncertainty and risk to different stakeholders.
