Contract Administrator for the Burpengary East STP Upgrade Project.

Reporting to the Contracts and Compliance Specialist in the Geoscience function, I have been responsible for relationship management, negotiation, compliance and optimisation of $150M pa in Australian Geoscience contracts. My responsibility extends across Contract management, interpretation and analysis ensuring compliance to the safety health and management system and developing systems to manage contractors and service providers in Exploration tenures under the Site Safety Executive (SSE). During my time in this role, I have also been proud to have:• Evaluated and monitored contract progress claims identifying 6.8% overspend. This led to the development of a guideline for checking daily activity reports and progress claims/invoices for wastage and abuse.• Benchmarked drilling contracts for the comparison of Major services contracts, building an excel based tracking tool which identified opportunities for cost efficiency and information for supply chain to negotiate rates.• Reviewed supplier contract terms and conditions to balance risk appetite with commercial objectives within the geoscience function. • Developed in-depth knowledge of the company’s geoscience contracts to enhance our ability to identify new opportunities for increasing performance and reducing spend.• Tracked and monitored the compliance of all contractual obligations, providing regular and ad hoc reporting on contract status, customer performance status and service delivery.• Led contract support to Superintendents and Site Supervisors regarding contractual and financial queries.• Assisted in the development of a web-based contractor management system to reduce the number of hours spent administrating contractors Authority to Work Permits (Visual Vault), reducing the administrative tasks by an estimated 4500+ hours per year. • Managed 1400+ approvals and accurate input of compliance documentation into the document management system within 24-hour timeframe.

Reporting to the SSE and Exploration Manager, I was responsible for the overall supervision of a coal exploration program ensuring that the field component of the program is undertaken safely within time and budget requirements.• Spearheaded the tenement annual report confidentiality project, auditing database and historic annual reports for data (267 reports across 43 exploration and mining tenures), processing data for successful resubmission to Department of Resources, retaining tenements.• Managed annual exploration plan reconciliation and annual EPC (Exploration Permit for Coal) reporting requirements with sites to ensure compliance with Department of Resources reporting requirements.• Developed processes, procedures and guidelines for geological and exploration functions to improve internal systems across multiple sites whilst providing technical support and training to Geologists and Junior Geologists.• Completed annual budgeting, Monthly reconciliation and Accrual processes for all activities, developing accurate monthly financial reconciliation to avoid overspend.

Reporting to multiple Site Superintendents, I was seconded to various sites with a remit to oversee and direct teams of up to 90 Exploration Geologists and Contractors. Ensuredthe field component of exploration programs met time and budget requirements, applying production output root cause analysis, recommending and implementing process, policy and procedure compliance improvements and with ultimate Quality Assurance and Compliance Sign Off on a $150M budget. - Oversaw and directed exploration geologists and contractors to ensure that the field component of exploration programs was undertaken within time and budget.- Managed contractors and ensured field staff complied with the SSEs Safety Health Management System. Conducted safety communications and maintained lines of communication between contractors and AAMC. Review of safety statistics and facilitating risk assessments and incident investigations.- Provided technical support and training to geologists and junior geologists.
