My duties as an intern at Mayo Hospital Lahore included taking thorough medical histories from patients, performing physical examinations, and coordinating patient management plans with my senior residents and consultants. I also enjoyed teaching junior medical students and participating in multi-disciplinary team discussions.

My role as a telehealth medical provider was to interview patients virtually, take their brief medical histories, assess whether they needed any lab investigations, and refer them to specialist medical providers. I gained valuable patient communication and multi-tasking skills and learned about medical billing and health insurance in this role.

My role was to create and review MCQs for different question banks that medical students use for learning purposes worldwide. I was responsible for writing authentic and verified medical information in the questions and their explanations so that it was valuable content for everyone learning through our efforts.

During my internship, I worked closely in a team under the supervision of highly experienced medical professionals from different fields. I was involved in recruiting patients for new studies at the center. I learned valuable data analysis and manuscript writing skills during my internship. I delivered multiple presentations on research methodology. The opportunity of working together with a diverse group of individuals of varying backgrounds helped me gain experience in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making. I learned how to communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and motivate team members to achieve common goals.
