Managing Director of Buch and Deichmann a world class fashion accessory company based in Copenhagen from 1981 after joining in March 1980 and transformed an ailing business to become the most successful in the group of 8 international companies.In 1985 joind Solana UK a manufacturer of tanning equipment as MD of UK operation and turned around an ailing business and prepared it for a sale in in 1987.In 1989 opened a small chain of tanning and toning salons.In 1993 started in the Toy/Novelty industry and worked for Vizi a leading UK novelty company with a raft of million selling items.In 2003 started own Novelty company Wanted UK and was responsible for launching Bacon The Pig, Buballoo Birds, Butthead, Self-Tying shoe laces all of which sold well over a million pieces in The UK alone, in reality almost all sold over 2m pieces.. In 2006 Wanted was the very first UK novelty company to open a Hong Kong office and participate in fairs there..after that time I clocked up a further 5 million sellers.In 2007 started 50Fifty in partnership with my son Darvoud and remain one of the leading designers and developers of fun novelty items in The WorldI have also been a regular contributor to Toy and Gift publications since 1999 writing articles about the industry and business matters which has led to me being considered a well recognised and ,some would say, controversial figure. One thing for sure though , I am the longest serving contributor to toy publications with 15 years of writing behind me, that's over 180 articles. I am also a firm believer in a very open and non-hierarchical style of management and the Nike principle Just Do It.I do believe we are one of the fastest if not the absolute fastest in the industry at getting a product from a basic idea to a working prototype stage , usually 2 weeks.My aim is one day to do some consultancy to help growing small companies become more creative and to find the time to write a book.
