I began my career in commercial sector at Universal Rags Private Limited as General Manager, overseeing 400 workers and managing production targets to fulfill export orders. My appointment was based on my management skills, and I implemented strategies to optimize productivity and ensure timely order completion. I was entrusted by the owners to establish and independently manage Universal Recyclers, a subsidiary of Universal Rags Private Limited. Despite facing constraints in financial resources and human capital, I efficiently executed all orders.

Karachi

During a brief contractual engagement lasting approximately four months, I served as an Independent Monitor for the World Health Organization (WHO) overseeing the implementation of the first Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine. My responsibilities were concentrated in the Korangi, Landhi, and Malir (KLM) Districts, where I worked closely with the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) staff and district administration.My primary objective was to ensure the comprehensive and high-quality coverage of the vaccine within the district. Through meticulous coordination and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including EPI personnel and local authorities, I facilitated the successful implementation of the vaccination campaign, thereby contributing to the enhancement of public health outcomes in the region.

Badin

In my role as District Field Manager for the Global Health Directorate's (GHD) Primary Care Program (PCP) in Badin district, I pioneered the introduction of Family Medicine concept and mobilized communities through the STAR and SALT themes. I also led successful projects in girls' education (Kiran Sitara), Club Foot treatment (Pehla Qadam), Hepatitis prevention, Tuberculosis control, and vaccinations, significantly improving healthcare access and outcomes in the Badin district. Furthermore, I oversaw the implementation of the first-ever container clinic in Pakistan at Khurwah, further expanding healthcare access for the community.

Karachi

The SUKH Initiative constituted an implementation research project characterized by a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and multi-dimensional approach. This initiative aimed to provide scalable solutions to effectively demonstrate an increase in the modern contraceptive prevalence rate and a reduction in unintended pregnancies across a population of one million individuals spread across four intervention sites in Karachi, Pakistan. Aman Health Care Services assumed responsibility for program coordination and the facilitation of collaborations among various stakeholders.

TVI developed the Vaccination Indicator and Reminder (VIR) band to address missed vaccination schedules. This innovative band uses time-sensitive dyes to remind parents of their child’s vaccination schedule by changing color when a dose is due. It also includes a unique identifier for accessing the child's digital health records. The VIR band is user-friendly, shows the child’s vaccination history, is unobtrusive, and can be easily secured around the baby's ankle, making it ideal for areas without internet or cell phone coverage. The positive response from stakeholders and users highlights the significant need and potential market for this product.

As CSWT's Program Manager, I spearheaded impactful initiatives delivering healthcare, education, and disaster relief. I organized free medical camps through SEHHAT, partnered for mass Hepatitis vaccinations, and even led a medical mission in Iran and Iraq. AAGAHI programs raised awareness on health and social topics, while ZINDAAN supported prisoners with medical care, prosthetics, and by celebrating national and international events in prisons. SAHARA partnered with institutions to empower people with disabilities and marginalized communities. KHIDMAT delivered emergency aid to those struck by natural disasters. These programs enriched countless lives.

Here's a breakdown of my key accomplishments:Project Management:Managed Orphanage Project: Oversaw the daily operations of Mehdia Hostel, providing a safe and nurturing environment for underprivileged children in Karachi.Led Hospital & Nursing School Project: Successfully oversaw the Sehhat Foundation project in Gilgit. This included managing a 30-bed hospital with free OPD services, a nursing school, and a dedicated hostel for medical staff.Expanded Educational Opportunities: Established and managed three educational institutions: Al-Hadi Academy (Karachi), The Knowledge City Academy (Islamabad), and Al-Ilm Model Academy (Karachi), catering to various student needs.Spearheaded Residential Project: Managed Mehdia City, a comprehensive 150-acre housing scheme in Karachi, providing much-needed housing solutions.Coordinated Diverse Initiatives: Successfully coordinated smaller projects like a livestock project in Muzaffargarh and a reading program in Karachi.Operational Coordination:Financial Management: Ensured smooth financial operations by handling all financial transactions, including income tax-related matters.Teamwork & Networking: Fostered a strong team spirit through networking and team-building activities, while also managing HR functions for the organization.By effectively managing these projects and activities, I contributed significantly to FCSD's mission of empowering communities across Pakistan

Responsible for planning, budgeting, implementation, supervision, reporting, and networking to coordinate various multiple complex development projects in diverse regions of Pakistan. These projects included promoting social inclusion of persons with disabilities in District Skardu funded by Dark & Light Blind Care; promoting adult literacy through Adult Literacy Centers in District Swabi funded by Muslim Care; promoting Social Inclusion for PWB, Low Vision, and other Disabilities in District Skardu, funded by SightSavers International; and strengthening local support mechanisms to address issues of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MnCH) care in District Skardu and Swabi funded by the GAVI Alliance. Additionally, successfully completed projects encompassed the school-based hygiene promotion program in District Rawalpindi funded by USAID in collaboration with the Government of Punjab, and promoting Social Inclusion for PWB, Low Vision, and other Disabilities in District Swabi, funded by SightSavers International and the European Union.Demonstrated expertise in project cycle management, from inception to closure, securing funding from reputable donors such as USAID, GAVI Alliance, SightSavers International, and Muslim Care. Achieved significant impact in promoting social inclusion for persons with disabilities, adult literacy, and maternal, newborn, and child health through strategic partnerships and innovative program design. Pioneered the development of Pakistan’s first training manual on Activities of Daily Living for Persons with Disabilities. Visited Bangladesh on an exposure visit on Inclusive Education.

• Introduced psychosocial support services in Pakistan after the 2005 earthquake, following ToT facilitated by Nudret Oztan from Turkey• Oversaw partnerships for Umeed, a two-year Oxfam-funded Gender & Psychosocial Support project in KPK and AJK, in collaboration with PRCS and funded by DRC, IFRC, and ECHO.• Sent to Egypt by WHO to attend a ToT on Gender & Health, attaining the title of Gender & Health Master Trainer from WHO-EMRO, Cairo, Egypt• Led capacity-building initiatives, including shadow and supervision visits, IEC material development, and the creation of training manuals and support materials focused on gender and disaster with an emphasis on psychosocial support• Worked with INGOs and civil society organizations such as WHO, DRC, Oxfam Novib, UNICEF, Care International, and ActionAid.
