After completing my bachelor's degree in biology, I completed my master's degree in microbiology and my doctorate in mycology. For nearly 20 years, I have been working on the biological control of insect pest using bacterial and fungal agents and I am still working on this subject. In addition, I have been working on the functional gene characterization of insect pathogenic fungi (especially Metarhizium) and bacteria (especially Bacillus thuringiensis). Recently, I have focused on dermatophytes that cause infection in humans (such as molecular characterization and DNA fingerprinting) and microbial bee diseases.
