Business Support Officer
CurrentResponsible for the provision and delivery of high quality, efficient and proactive executive support services to senior managers in order to deliver specified projects that support the Authority’s aims and objectives. Key responsibilities include:• Executive Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), managing complex diaries, calendars, inboxes, and meetings. Undertake research and produce high quality written material to managers, while planning and prioritising own work, meeting deadlines and targets with minimal supervision.• Project Management: Lead and manage the execution of high-profile public-facing events, such as Firefighter Graduation Ceremonies and the Annual Awards Ceremony, overseeing logistics and stakeholder coordination for over 200 guests and dignitaries.• Meeting & Governance Support: Facilitate governance meetings by preparing agendas, recording minutes, tracking actions and decisions, and handling sensitive HR hearings.• Data Analysis & Reporting: Create and manage dynamic data visualisations, including flowcharts and graphs, supporting key initiatives like talent management, workforce planning, and time-motion studies, providing data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.• JESIP Training: Completed Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP) Multi-Agency Information Cell (MAIC) training, supporting inter-agency collaboration during major incidents to enhance emergency response coordination. This involves obtaining, analysing and disseminating multi-agency information during a response to support shared situational awareness.
