Full-time placement with Somerset Community Pain Management Service, which is part of Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. Somerset Community Pain Management Service is an NHS psychological service, which aims to empower people with chronic pain, and help them develop the understanding, skills and confidence they need to live a full and meaningful life despite their pain. This placement was primarily research based, and involved different service evaluation projects and service development tasks, including a quantitative evaluation of three group-based interventions. Moreover, this placement developed my skills in clinical psychology through giving me opportunities to shadow clinical staff and review clinical case studies.

My main duties as a medical receptionist include: answering the telephone, front desk duties, booking appointments, reading out test results, dealing with patient queries and other basic admin tasks.

Part-time summer placement with the clinicians running the Student Health Emotional Regulation Pathway (SHERPA) at Bristol Universities Student Health Service. This was a research-based placement as my main focus was collecting and analysing patient satisfaction data.
