Hello! My name is Alice Garner and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Urban Education and Social Justice with a Multiple Subjects Elementary School Teaching Credential from University of San Francisco. I am also a proud Davidson College wildcat, graduating in December 2023 with an Africana Studies and Hispanic Studies degree. My passion lies in education and building community, and I’m excited to continue on my path to become a lower elementary school educator serving urban youth with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I seek to create more equitable, humanizing and culturally sustaining spaces inside and outside of the physical classroom. I am excited to apply my linguistic abilities as well as my continuously developing pedagogy grounded in critically caring relationships and community-centered knowledge to the diverse families and youth I will work with in the Bay Area.
