- Process complex case which includes term conversions, Policy Split options, Internal exchanges, external 1035 exchanges, reissue of cases that require changes or corrections to a recently issued life insurance policy as needed. Also process in-force terminations and refund money received by a client, the refund is done thru our TAS system and can be done by a paper check or Electronic transfer directly to a client’s banking account (ACH). -Review replacement cases so that state compliance regulations are met, ensure proper state guidelines are followed and which includes but not limited to notification of documents being mailed out to external companies, and the documentation of the image file. - Provided proper communicate to the field partners, internal customers of information needed for the file to meet state replacement regulations and if needed walk them thru the process to meet state replacement guidelines. -Assist in questions from case coordinators in our New Business area to any questions related to system errors, troubles they come across to allow them to process life insurance applications. -Sharing Best Practices and knowledge with the Case Specialit (CS) unit/ replacement / 1035 team to improve quality work, provide great customer service, and increased production and quality of cases being proceed.- Provided informal leadership to peers, acting as a resource for processing questions and mentoring to existing team members to provide in-depth knowledge in our role, rely shortcuts I come across, which supports their professional development. This includes training for new processes they currently need to learn or future knowledge. -Apply 1035 checks that is received from external carriers, and assure that the file is documented, and the payment is applied with the correct payment type and correct amount. Contact external insurance companies as the situation calls for that could be related to the external 1035 exchange.-I have contact with our National Sales desk. These include questions related to replacement regulations (naic states, non naic states and NY reg 60 process), 1035 exchange process, policy split option that can be done on a policy, term conversions, spouse conversion or child term rider conversions. -Review life insurance application for completion to assure correct policies are issued for the clients. Issue the life insurance clients that are to be delivered to the client thru a conversion type process. This includes term conversions, spouse term conversion, child term conversion, Policy Split Options.
