Direct responsibility for inventory management, budgeting, sales, merchandising, vendor relationships, marketing, advertising and management of 16 employees for this high-end gift business. Materially increased sales and margin by creating business plans, identifying key vendors, negotiating terms and creating marketing and advertising plans. Responsible for monthly tracking and analysis of sales and profitability by vendor. Shifted product mix to increase profit margin and attract a broader demographic.

Developed and managed centralized planning group for $300 million wholesale business. Coordinated retail sales data from 500+ locations and converted information into a manufacturing plan for licensees. Resulted in identification of key sales trends, faster delivery to retailers and reduced wholesale inventory.

Developed internal and external retail forecasting models and analyses for the $200 million wholesale business, decreased inventory and grew retail sales in seven product areas.

Promoted on Federated and May’s recommendation to implement the roll out of the store within a store concept to over 300 locations. Increased retail sales by approximately 50%

Implemented more competitive pricing and increased profitability to bedding and bath lines by identifying wholesale sell-in opportunities versus retail sell-through.
