During the Covid-19 outbreak, I became a temporary retail assistant at a Tesco Express store. Working in a fast-paced and intense environment due to the pandemic, I quickly developed my teamwork and customer service skills whilst ensuring that the safety of both colleagues and customers was the utmost priority in every activity carried out. Quickly adapting to the new position at such a strange time for everyone was a challenging and exciting opportunity which I was extremely grateful for.

Through advertisement on a local Facebook page I set up my own tutoring role to do alongside my A Level studies, teaching students GCSE Maths. This was a challenging yet rewarding job, helping those who struggled with mathematical concepts to build their confidence and understand the subject in time for their exams. Over a period of 17 months I successfully helped 8 students and enjoyed seeing them succeed in their exams when initially they believed that maths would be a challenging subject for them to pass.
