I am passionate about leveraging my broad journalism experience to tell powerful stories and build public-private partnerships.Below are selected examples:ATX+PAK ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMI ideated, launched, and managed a first-of-its-kind initiative that drove economic growth in the US and Pakistan by connecting Austin entrepreneurs with Pakistani businesses. I created a flexible program framework that was eventually scaled to other regions and countries. I identified and nurtured 12+ revenue-generating, international partnerships that catalyzed the growth of Austin’s economy. This included helping Austin-based business expand into Pakistan and vice versa. REIMAGINING PUBLIC SAFETYI improved public sentiment and drove policy changes by spearheading a multi-channel communication strategy that informed city leaders of the systematic issues faced during the delivery of public safety services. Furthermore, the public outreach strategy used was lauded by community partners for being the best in its class.This strategy was successful because I used multiple strategies to maximize reach and engagement. This included designing English and Spanish information and engagement hubs, facilitating community meetings, and offering multiple avenues to provide feedback.
