In my current role I train and support the coordinators of the various National Connector Programs across Canada. I develop resources that are required and requested by communities. I also search out, organize and facilitate professional development workshops and learning sessions on various topics important to community members.

As Project Manager I work to support the development, maintenance and expansion of relationships with respect to field schools and exchanges within the Faculty of Arts. I assist in the establishment of new academic field schools. I also work to promote International experiences among students, to try and increase the number of students who opt for an international experience during their degree. I work closely with other departments to ensure students have a rich and safe experience while they are abroad. I have also completed a codebook to ensure transfer credits are assessed fairly and equally across semesters.

Halifax, Canada Area

One of my duties as Project Manager is to administer two Queen Elizabeth Scholarship programs that Saint Mary's University has. I work with our partners on the ground in Jamaica and Uganda to ensure the program is meeting their needs, as well as to be involved in the candidate selection process. I market the program to Saint Mary's students and interview the candidates. Once selected, I prepare the students for departure, running a pre-departure orientation, and briefing them on the country, risk management, and their role as a QES Scholar. Upon return, I debrief each student and assist them in planning their community engagement activities. For all incoming, outgoing and returned scholars under the program I also organize networking and cultural events. Within the office I manage the Visiting Education Abroad student portfolio. This deals with their entire dealings with the University, from their application right through to the transcript being sent to their home university. I also help the Outbound Education Abroad students, interviewing candidates, administering pre-departure orientations and answering questions they may have. Program promotion is also a very important part of my position, which encompasses open houses, class presentations and social media. I have developed a niche role at the University in developing programs to support returning Study Abroad participants. Returnee Round tables allow students to have a safe and comfortable space to talk about their experiences and learnings as a Education Abroad student and Peer Matching programs bring Returned students and Visiting students together to create a community around Education Abroad. Through these initiatives a group was formed, the Canadian Learning Abroad Alumni Community, and I sit on the steering committee for this group. I am also working to engage Saint Mary's Alumni of Education Abroad, so they may share their experiences with future Education Abroad students.

Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

In this short-term contract I am coordinating the development of new outbound mobility opportunities for students. These include Travel Studies, where professors take students to another country to teach a course, and International Internships with partner institutions and organizations. I am also working to build templates and activities focusing on experiential learning, reflection and employability skills development into the courses and internships.

As Chair of the International Network of Tomorrow's Leaders Professional Learning Community of CBIE, I oversaw the work of all the subcommittees and reported on our progress to the Board of Directors of CBIE. I developed INTL's overall strategy and vision for the year, including implementing an EDI strategy.

In 2019 I was an associate member, and Lead of the Networking Sub-Committee of INTL. With my team we will work to help each INTL'er to grow their network and create relationships across the country and across professional lines. For 2017 and 2018 I was an associate member with the Conference and Championing Sub-Committees of the International Network of Tomorrow's Leaders, a Professional Learning Community of CBIE. In these sub-committees I worked with a team to plan the INTL portion of the annual CBIE conference and to champion the International Education profession and young professionals.

Antigonish, Nova Scotia

I manage the Antigonish Community Transit System and all aspects of the work of the Antigonish Community Transit Society. I write reports to the funders, give presentations to future stakeholders and partners of the organization and manage the office, including the accounting, personnel, training, maintenance and licensing of the vehicles, advertising and sponsorship, website, social media and research. I promote the service through print and social media as well as answering patrons questions. I also continually evaluate the service to ensure its longevity and sustainability in the community.

Antigonish

I work with Committees of community representatives to further the vision and overall goal of the Antigonish Poverty Reduction Coalition, which is to reduce poverty in Antigonish town and county.The committees included themes of transportation, food security, recreation and childcare. Each Committee focused on these topics and held events and information campaigns to further the awareness of how these issues affected everyone living in Antigonish and Antigonish County.

I was an early childhood educator in the Toddler class (18 months to 3 years). I planned daily activities and weekly themes to explore with the children.As a Youth Programs Facilitator I helped to facilitate the Powercamp program, a week long free daycamp for girls between the ages of 11-17, which taught the girls skills such as leadership and self expression, and awareness about issues like food security, healthy relationships and violence against women.

As the Rotex Director I organized the Rotex group, which consisted of around 20 active members and 20 additional members, who were not active on a monthly basis. Each year five conferences included Rotex students, and my position required the planning, facilitation and delegation of duties at these conferences. Rotex members lead sessions, helped in the kitchen, answered questions one-on-one or in group format and ensured the smooth transition between sessions.

I was a Laurier International Friendship Extension (LIFE) mentor and leader. I helped to organize the program and welcome International and Visiting Students to Wilfrid Laurier University. As a group, the LIFE volunteers helped to organize events for the International Office, and helped to engage the International and Visiting students in Canadian and WLU culture and life.
