As a Refugee Translation Support Specialist, I helped refugees communicate and access critical information in Russian,English, and Romanian. I provided live interpretation during essential meetings, such as legal consultations, doctor’s appointments, and housing interviews, ensuring refugees could both understand and respond effectively. I also translated important documents like medical forms, housing agreements, and legal papers, making sure the information was clear and accessible. My role involved bridging cultural differences and assisting refugees with adapting to new social norms and expectations. I worked closely with social workers, healthcare providers, and legal advisors to provide coordinated and comprehensive support. I maintained strict confidentiality in all interactions and approached each case with empathy, helping refugees feel respected and understood. This role allowed me to support refugees in accessing services, understanding their rights, and navigating a new environment with confidence.

In this role, I provided high-quality translation and review services for critical humanitarian and development content across languages, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and cultural relevance. Additionally, I reviewed the work of other translators, offering constructive feedback and maintaining a high standard of linguistic quality and consistency.
