Real-time curation for Twitter Moments. As a curator, my main job was to provide, through relevant (and existent) tweets in the platform, the most accurate information on the latest news and trends — be it a president impeachment, the grand finale of a soccer tournament, a hyped music festival, or a viral meme. Working closely with breaking news on a daily basis made me grow not only as an entertainment expert, passionate about creators and internet culture, but also as a multifaceted journalist, with heavy Politics, Sports, Science, and General Culture background. As the job required long hours by myself in different coverages, I’ve also developed an attribute that, to me, is essential in such fast-paced platforms: multi-focus. I’m able to take on different tasks at once with the same level of attention to detail. Among some coverages that I’ve actively participated on during my time in Twitter are: Chapecoense’s plane tragedy in Colombia, terrorist attacks in France and Spain, and Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.

Editor and manager of OMG!, Yahoo’s celebrity website and the company’s most popular vertical in Brazil. Besides deciding on our editorial voice and managing a team of five journalists, some of my responsibilities included hiring entertainment columnists and freelance reporters all over the country, planning special coverages — such as Carnival, Rock in Rio, Barretos, and Royal Wedding — and reviewing all the content published (more than 20 pieces per day) to make sure they met Yahoo’s guidelines and quality standards. Later on, I also took over the TV & Movies and Lifestyle verticals. As part of my job, I also had to edit Yahoo’s front page, a task that required editorial experience and great attention to detail.

While in this position, I worked hard to inform and entertain passionate readers (and massive fandoms!) about the most recent news and trends on celebrities, TV, music, movies, internet, memes, and general culture. Besides curating appealing content for the website, editing columnists, and participating on overall coverages, I worked closely with social media and video content — also getting heavily involved with content creators. In CAPRICHO, I was responsible for making the Colírios blog a huge viral in Brazil for over two years — which resulted in a MTV show, a web series, and multiple printed special editions of the magazine later on.
