I assisted in research studying the effects of floral nectar robbery on hummingbird foraging behavior. This included: capturing and attaching radio transmitters to hummingbirds, tracking their movements using telemetry, collecting behavioral data, and experimentally removing nectar from flowers.

While studying at Humboldt State University, I banded songbirds (~1500) at a constant effort banding site located on Humboldt Bay, California. This position included general surveys of birds as well as traveling to remote locations and setting up nets at unfamiliar field sites.
