Advocate & enthusiast for individuals who need to use their voice! Began my teaching career with Toledo Public Schools, Toledo, OH in 2008. I have always been a student advocate - providing guidance and support to those who are unable to use their voice in the community. The opportunities provided me to be on the School Health Committee, Building Committee, Special Education Chairperson, Substitute Union Representative, Teacher Mentor and support the school with a $1M grant to implement a fitness facility for the community. Past experience has provided me the opportunity to work with local businesses and The Toledo Rotatians that provide assistance and options for students with exceptionalities to become contributing members of the local community. Currently reside in South Florida with preK-2nd grade students life skills class and a social functioning class for grades 2-5 with Autism. I want to encourage, promote and advocate for those who do not have the ability, but knowing that they are different, not less.
