As the Manager I am primarily responsible for ensuring Youth Housing Project maintains a high standard of service accountability and administrative integrity and that obligations to young people, staff, management committee, government and other relevant service providers are met.Major Responsibilities• Whole of organisation management• Financial management • Data base access, administration and reporting – (OASIS, SHIP, SHOR, QHIP [VCMS & CHART]) • Human Resource management• Workplace health and safety• Risk Assessment and Management • Quality assurance• Staff supervision & performance reviews• Strategic planning – development, implementation and reviewing• Operational plan – development, implementation and reviewing• Develop funding submissions for Government and community grants • Policies and procedure development, implementation and reviewing• Implementation of Department of Communities Service Standards and self assessment • Implement process of registration and meeting standards for National Regulatory System for Community Housing Providers• High level of oral & written communication with Government Departments and other organisations • Provide reports to relevant management committee and government departments (monthly, quarterly, annually) • Facilitate and organise monthly management committee meetings and Annual General Meetings• Network and liaise with relevant community and government organisations

As a Youth Housing Support Worker I was responsible for the support of Youth Housing Project tenants/clients, as well as providing information and referral services to all young people in contact with the service. Major Responsibilities• Accommodation and Support for Homeless Young People and their children• Provide information and Referrals• Undertake initial assessment of Young People• Case Management• Provide emotional and practical support• Provide information and support - housing, legal, financial, employment, training, living skills • Network with other community organizations and actively participate in projects and forums• Advocate on behalf of Young People• Liaise with relevant government departments and bodies• Develop and maintain information, policies and programs• General organizational duties• Work within a team environment• Keep up to date with high level computer skills• Write submissions for funding applications
