My responsibilities include Developing and delivering a 3 phase training programme that meets the needs of the business. Delivering a range of training courses as determined by TLC Homecare’s Training Plan including induction training, mandatory training courses and additional or specialist training for care workers.Reviewing all training to ensure materials are fresh, relevant and compliant with latest developments in legislation, local requirements or best practice. Designing and developing innovative training and development opportunities for staff at all levels within the organisation. Exploring different methods of delivery as outlined in the Development & Training Policy. Being knowledgeable about best practice, regulatory and local requirements and keeping my knowledge up to date. Developing positive working relationships with internal and external partners and promoting training and development opportunities to staff within each site.

My responsibilities included:- Organising and controlling other Care Assistants throughout a shift of work, assisting in the formal supervision of carers, taking on the role of key worker for a group of residents, being responsible in the safe administration of medicines, respecting the individual rights and choices of residents, responding to the differing cultural values and diversity of clients, ensuring the health and safety of clients, reporting any health and safety issues or equipmentfailures to the Manager, Communicating effectively with colleagues and managers, providing personal care to residents with regard to their daily living needs, completing end of shift reports and handing over to colleagues.
