I am a General Practitioner with key interests in Paediatrics, Antenatal Shared Care, and Chronic Disease Management. I practice enthusiastic, empathic and evidence based medicine. Complementing my clinical work in Primary Care, I am an academic title holder as a Senior Lecturer in within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland, and teach medical students in my clinical practice. I am a researcher, with interests in GP involvement in antenatal care, and improving clinical handover between primary and secondary/tertiary care, and am involved in several other Medical Education related research projects at the University of Queensland. I am an AMA Queensland Councillor and a keen advocate for high quality General Practice and the central role of primary care in Australian health care.
