Founder of a project that brings donated bikes and supplies from southern communities in Canada to northern remote communities in Nunavut. Created a national fundraising campaign to raise money to support the project. I work closely with individuals and companies to create a more sustainable project. (Ridleys Cycle, Buffalo Airways, Stantec, Canadian Coast Guard, and Graphic Design company) Theproject has successfully brought 80 bikes to Kugluktuk in 2015. Organize weekly rides and maintenance workshops with the youth. Currently in the process of becoming a Non-Profit Company.

Lead instructor for Non-Urban emergency Care levels 1-3, NUOFA 3, CPR, and patroller training courses offered by PEAK throughout BC. Evaluator for all courses

Hire and supervise employees of the Youth Centre, provide mentorship and training for them as well asthe Youth Coordinator trainee. I developed a training program and continually provided feedback andevaluations throughout the training period. Create, plan, organize, implement programs and events foryouth 0-25 years of age. Prepare and apply for grants for programs that meet the needs of community and for the ongoing operations of the Youth Centre. Responsible for the budget of the Youth Centre including payroll and programs.

Respond to emergencies on the mountain providing rescue and emergency care to patients at an NUEC 3 level and EMT-A level. Work closely with Patrol, Avalanche Technicians and supervisors to create scheduled for on-going training for medical response in a remote mountain environment, rope rescues, avalanche training, and other needed training throughout the season. Complete accurate patient care reports, including incident reports and accident investigations. Work with the avalanche department with on hill weather observations and recordings, blasting/ avalanche missions on a daily basis. Provide and ensure safety measures are met on the ski hill daily with run openings and observations throughout the day.

Provide care at a PCP level of training working next to an EMR, or PCP responding to various medicaland trauma emergencies within and around the surrounding area of Invermere BC. Participate in ongoingtraining courses and opportunities offered through BCAS.

Worked as medical personal and tail guide for a small backcountry hiking lodge. Responsible for allmedical emergencies at the lodge and during daily hikes with guests. Hike with the groups during the day to assist with any guests who may have difficulty on the terrain. Worked closely with Lodge owner and helicopter company with emergency procedures for the lodge along with coordination of helicopterprocedures of guests leaving and coming into the lodge via helicopter.

Provide care at an EMT-A level, working with a Paramedic partner to provide ALS care to the City ofCalgary, Airdrie, and Cochrane. Complete on going annual training provided by AHS to stay current inskills and practice. Required to know the ALS protocols of a Paramedic to provide support to the medicon ALS calls. It was a casual position.

Provide medical care to patients at an EMR level, working with other EMRs, EMT-A, and Paramedics ina challenging environment on bike trails. Transporting patients to the medical room and transferring care to Calgary EMS if needed. Maintain first aid equipment and vehicles to ensure a state of readiness. Complete accurate patient care records. Promote safety within the riding areas of the park for children’s camps and tourists.

Provided care at an EMR level for NACG Pipeline work providing medical standby in remote areas, often working alone as a BLS provider. Responsible for daily vehicle and equipment checks and ensuring the safety of the crews in my area. Attend daily safety meeting to review safety issues with other EMRs, EMTs and Paramedics.

Assess and provide medical care at an EMR scope of practice at Olymel Pork Factory. Complete detailed patient reports. Worked with an EMT-A and Paramedic to provide BLS and ALS emergency care.
