As a Special Education Assistant, I encourage students with special needs to tap into their full potential as students. I assist students with autism with school work, social skills, and cool downs. I aid special and regular education teachers with classroom management, student understanding, and boosting student confidence levels.

As an ancillary assistant, I work with a student with cerebral palsy. I transport the student from class to class, and I help with school work. I also work with a student who is on the autism spectrum. I assist this student by redirecting his attention back to the task at hand and ensuring that he understands the material. As the student is on a lower level in some subjects, I assist with homework and modifying assignments when needed.

In this position, I used the VIPKid platform and materials to supplement student's ESL classes in China's public schools.

While at Primrose Schools, I taught a balanced curriculum to prepare children for kindergarten. I followed Primrose lesson plans in order to teach them writing, listening, reading, and math skills. I worked with a co-teacher, and we shared responsibilities of discipline and teaching.

As a camp counselor, I supervised twenty children directly, while assisting other counselors with their children. Also, I directly assisted site directors with their responsibilities. These responsibilities included: logging and making deposits, submitting lesson plans, and conducting simple inspections of buses for field trip transportation.

As a resident assistant (RA), I upheld policies set forth by the housing department. The policies include: conducting floor meetings with residents, monitoring visitation hours for guests, and maintaining the prohibition of alcohol in the building. In the event of a policy being broken, I would complete an incident report and follow up with the residents involved in the incident.
