As Co-Executive Director, Alison leads the NJ Conservation Foundation’s development, policy and stewardship initiatives. She led the organization's public policy program for over a decade, and previously worked in land acquisition and several other capacities at the Foundation over the past 30 years. She served on the Delaware and Raritan Canal Commission as a gubernatorial appointee under Governor McGreevey; as a founding trustee and past president of Hunterdon Land Trust; an advisory member at the NJ Agricultural Experiment Station Board of Managers, Rutgers University; and as a trustee of Isles in Trenton. She has authored several publications for the Foundation including "The New Jersey Highlands - Treasures at Risk" and "Gaining Ground", a farmland policy report. Prior to joining the staff at NJ Conservation Foundation, Alison interned at the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and Wilderness Society, and worked part-time with Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management while pursuing her graduate degree.
