Policy Manager
CurrentI shape and support the implementation of SV@Home’s policy and land use engagement, advocacy strategies, local and regional campaigns, and educational strategies, working in collaboration with city staff, elected officials, grassroots and nonprofit partners, developers, and community members. Public education is critical to advancing our shared housing priorities. I developed and deliver the Foundations of Affordable Housing public education program to improve community understanding of the value of affordable housing and build broad support for critical funding and policy solutions. I serve as a speaker or moderator on more than a dozen additional educational events each year, and engage in mentoring and timely policy research and discussions with students at Stanford and San Jose State University. I help lead the campaign in Santa Clara County for the November 2024 regional affordable housing bond measure, which will bring $20 billion for affordable housing production and preservation to the nine counties of the Bay Area. I advocate for effective housing elements in local jurisdictions throughout Santa Clara County, creating robust long-range plans designed to deliver abundant affordable housing and respond to the unique and disparate needs of marginalized communities. I work with our local grassroots partners and state agencies to identify and solve for potential barriers to implementation, and provide technical support and accountability to local jurisdictions.Professional Development2024: The Management Center- Managing Projects Course2024: California Planning Roundtable- Planning Leadership Academy
