Outreach Manager For "Get Us Moving San Mateo County" (Consultant)
As a consultant, I served as the Outreach Manager for Get Us Moving San Mateo County (aka "Get Us Movin SMC" or "GUM"), a massive community engagement effort to educate the public about transportation needs and to gather public input to inform the development of a $2.4 Billion transportation expenditure plan. I recruited, trained 15 speakers to deliver over 100 presentations; managed the collection of over 10,000 survey responses; coordinated presentations, stakeholder advisory groups, and agencies; and advised my clients on strategy. The Get Is Moving SMC outreach effort was recognized by regional leaders as the best local community outreach and engagement effort in recent memory. The expenditure plan developed through GUM was approved by the voters of San Mateo County in November 2018.
