As a Senior Copywriter within the Content Department at marketing agency Fieldworks Marketing my focus is creating thought leadership market reports, articles, e-newsletters and social media posts on behalf of clients. Content Editor

Haywards Heath

Reporting directly to the Head of Communications, my role was to support the development and delivery of the union's content strategy - writing and preparing news, features, advice articles, podcasts and videos for digital and print channels, ensuring copy and images were fit for purpose, demonstrating brand values, and driving engagement. For accessibility for all, I learnt to ensure the NAHT website and other communications channels were WCAG 2.1 compliant. Using Dotmailer, I wrote, built, tested and sent regular email communications - in particular the weekly NAHT newsletter - keeping NAHT's 29,000 members informed of current education policy and the top level campaigning work of the organisation. Working with the team to plan, contribute to, and proof-read the quarterly magazine was an important part of my role, as was using social media (@NAHTnews) to support messaging to members, and reporting and analysing web traffic and email open rates. I enjoyed working closely with colleagues across the organisation, in Policy, Press, Marketing and Advice.

Editor, Edelivery

London, United Kingdom

As Editor of eDelivery I managed the content and performance of this online trade title and associated reports, catering for an audience of international professionals who support multichannel retail. In the role I produced news, features, white papers, and a weekly email newsletter covering the latest developments in retail operations, logistics, warehousing, packaging design, customer support and financial strategy. Articles examined how multichannel businesses from Amazon to Zara are adapting their services to the demands of digital consumers, and I covered how companies such as Collect Plus, Doddle, Hermes and DPD are rising to the challenges of home delivery. The role involved building a social following on Twitter and LinkedIn, and liaising closely with sales, marketing and events colleagues.

Brighton

Generating, writing and publishing original content for a range of marketplace and recruitment websites within Friday Media Group. As part of this content management role, I commissioned articles from external experts and bloggers, wrote and edited email marketing content, and worked with SEO colleagues to ensure content met traffic, SEO, accessibility and engagement targets. Social media content and monitoring was also an important part of the drive to build brand awareness and reach new audiences.
