Accomplished communications and engagement professional. Expertise includes stories, content, community, stakeholder and media engagement, strategy and events. - Devised and delivered key national initiatives including the first BBC Wales community engagement strategy - success of which meant it ran for over ten years. - Devised and delivered many large and multi venue events ( Upto 30k footfall across a weekend) and conferences - including live event/audience broadcasts for Radio 4 and Radio 2. - Track record of originating and winning programme commissions across TV and radio. - Producer of Woman’s Hour and many live, recorded and audience based programmes as well as docs for Radio Wales, Radio 4, Radio 5, Radio 2, World Service, BBC1 and BBC2. Credits include the BAFTA award winning series 'Tribe', ‘Horse People', ‘Volcano Man’, ‘After The Fighting is Over’, ‘Moonwalk Memoirs’, ‘Wales in the West End’, ‘Wales in the World’, ‘Christmas Under Fire’, Turn Back Time’, ‘No Leeks or Daffs’, ‘For Love Not Money’, ‘Our Pet’. ‘Roof of Arabia’, ‘ Behind Closed Doors’, ‘Gene Team’ , multi award winning All Things Considered, The One Show and many more. I’ve interviewed and worked with people from all walks of life - high profile, locally and internationally, on wide ranging topics - social and human interest, humanitarian, arts, music, history, faith, culture, - often on sensitive and highly emotive subjects - building relationships and trust, gaining access to unique and compelling stories. I’ve travelled the world - and to remote and hazardous locations including war zones. I’ve trekked in search of gorillas in West Africa (and was charged by buffalo), climbed the world’s deadliest volcano, filmed in Guerrilla territory in Colombia, paraglided in Wales and scuba dived in Caribbean and Australia. I’ve ridden on horseback through forests of Costa Rica, cycled across Europe. I’ve ‘lived’ with Bedouin in the Atlas Mountains, the Bibongo people in the heart of West Africa and with the Nihang Singh in India. I’ve developed and delivered media training for third sector, charities, schools and Universities. I provide CV and interview support to individuals pursuing a career in the media.
