About Alison Grey
I have over 20 years’ experience in narrative led interpretative planning and content development for museum and heritage organisations and hold a MA in Public History, from Ruskin College Oxford. My core skills lie in working with client teams and multidisciplinary project delivery teams to help give form to their ideas, to clearly express them, and bring them to life. I work extensively across the UK, Europe, the USA and the Middle East, including the University of Pennsylvania, Qatar Museums Authority and The National Media Council in the UAE.I undertake reviews and evaluation of existing briefs, ideas and resources, consult on and oversee project implementation based on a skills-sharing and capacity building model. Through my work at TGAC I provide content and concept development, masterplanning and interpretive planning, strategy, research and writing. I work creatively and collaboratively with a broad spectrum of communities, organisations and experts across business development, project management, design, AV, creative practitioners, interactive, digital heritage development.Recently I worked with the Tees Valley Combined Authority to develop the masterplan for the largest Historic England Heritage Action Zone, based around 26 miles of historic Stockton and Darlington Railway and the new Railway Heritage Quarter.
