I led the marketing team and strategy for Chegg's learning-focused services, including Textbooks, Chegg Study, Chegg Tutors (formerly InstaEDU), Test Prep and Flashcards+.

InstaEDU (http://instaedu.com) is the largest marketplace for online tutoring. We make it incredibly easy for any student to get academic support whenever they need it.InstaEDU was acquired by Chegg in June 2014.

Cardinal Scholars (http://cardinalscholars.com) is an in-home tutoring company that allows students in the Bay Area, Boston and New York to work with tutors from top universities.As a part-time project, we generated six figure sales in under 9 months, more than doubling every quarter. At the time of sale, Cardinal Scholars had more than 150 tutors, all from top-10 universities.Cardinal Scholars was acquired by Course Hero in June 2012.

I spent 6 months working with the team at Nextdoor before deciding to jump in full-time and cofound InstaEDU. Working there pre public launch, I developed a lot of the early marketing materials and worked with community leaders to get beta neighborhoods up and running.

I was the community manager at Aardvark until we were acquired by Google at the beginning of 2010. I focused on engaging users in the product development process, facilitating product evangelists, and getting the word out about Aardvark by working with press, among many other things. Aardvark won Best Community at SXSW shortly after we were acquired.

I worked as a part-time marketing intern for Box from 2006 to 2009. As the company evolved, I took on a wide range of marketing roles. This included everything from working with record labels to get bands using Box to launching Box's college marketing and campus ambassador program to developing marketing resources for the sales team.

I worked at Quango during a 6-month internship at college. Quango is a marketing agency based in Portland, OR and I worked on campaigns for a wide range of companies -- from Intel to a local deli. Here I developed a strong knowledge and passion for copywriting.
