I recently joined TRI Princeton where my primary function is to further develop TRI/Princeton's approach to and compliance with Federal and State requirements for working with chemicals. I have been versatile in handling laboratory and pilot plant equipment and have always been regarded as a custodian of health and safety practices when representing the HS&E committees in both BP Research (where I represented some 100+ scientists and engineers) and later ISP/Ashland (with some 50-80 scientists and chemists). My experiences have aided me to introduce new and update existing procedures in such a way as to reduce any adverse impact on day to day functions.My second and more technical function is to support the team by updating and streamlining method and equipment standard operating procedures and to support the contract services for evaluating and quantifying client hair products functionality for hair care. This includes technical report auditing.

This newly created company has a process to remove mercury, selenium and thallium from industrial waste waters to levels suitable for direct discharge into Great Lakes and USA rivers. My task is to evaluate and test waste water samples and recommend processes suitable to remove metals and other materials from produced waste water to the levels required by the customer.

Evaluated existing and new polymers for use in the business streams oil and gas drilling and production, water-based adhesives, hair care and fabric care. This could require using standard testing or developing test methods, e.g rheology, HTHP flow loss, linear shale swelling.
