I am co-founder of Birdsoup, a consultancy specialising in people transformation. We support organisations that recognise they need to change, helping them to solve the people-focused issues that are preventing them from reaching their true potential. We work with organisations that are ready to put their people first and make inclusion a business-critical issue. I began my second career in the media industry (after several years teaching abroad), where I worked for leading companies, including ITV, AOL, Aegis (Dentsu-Aegis) and Omnicom. I spent almost 15 years in the industry, starting out in UK marketing and market research roles and latterly in global and regional new business and branding roles. I loved working on projects with colleagues across the globe, developing campaigns and running pitches, and the travel involved.In 2009 I decided to change career direction and build on my interest in personal and professional development and people management. My love of learning and challenge led me to enrol at Birkbeck College, University of London, in 2009 and in 2011, I completed an MSc in Career Management and Counselling with Merit. Going back to school was the springboard I needed to take me into coaching, training and inclusion. I set up a career consultancy in 2011, The Career Collective, and developed my maternity/parental coaching model. Over the next 6 years, I worked with many clients to help them make the transition to parenthood. In 2017 Birdsoup was born, focusing initially on women and their careers. I now use my passion and enthusiasm to drive inclusion for all, so everyone can maximise their talents and reach their true potential.
