About Alison Woolcock

I help businesses grow by solving their marketing challenges. Over 25 years of experience across sectors with large corporates, start-ups and everything in between allows me to add value quickly as an advisor, problem solver, project manager or extra pair of hands. My work is a mixture of strategy and sleeves rolled-up ‘making it happen’. 100% word of mouth, with some clients re-recruiting me up to 5 times. I specialise in positioning and brand development, having 12 re-brands under my belt (not just the face-lift, real change programmes). Also new propositions, comms programmes and marketing transformations (having built teams, infrastructure and established best practices internationally). I really believe that effective marketing comes from getting the foundations right. (Sweating the detail matters!).

    Marketing Consultant
    Liberis Apr 2013 - Jul 2015
I joined fintech company, Liberis, as a consultant to the executive team to develop and launch a new brand and build the pipeline cost effectively. The brand idea of 'breath of fresh air' helped galvanise the organisation around a common purpose and re-invent its positioning from a 'business cash advance' to 'business friendly finance'. Being able to demonstrate to the organisation that a brand is not just a logo, we were able to establish positive change right across the customer journey and evidence the direct impact the re-brand had on business growth (for which we won a brand effectiveness award). The transformation of the comms programme focused around losing the reliance on trade press advertising, introducing digital comms, attribution modelling and ROI metrics to drive channel mix, establishing social media as a demand channel and humanising the content to engage the right prospects. This contributed to 10-fold business growth over 18 months.
