My background and experiences in project management have been in highly regulated and legislated but very different organizations and business.I am currently working as Project Manager for Magnox at Chapelcross Power Station.Previously from February 2015 I worked as a planning engineer for Hertel UK. This involves producing and maintaining project and contract schedules and programmes in Primavera P6.Previously I Worked for Magnox Ltd. at Chapelcross as a Project Manager for almost three years delivering projects associated with the Magnox lifetime plan to decommission.Before entering the Nuclear arena I worked as a Project Engineer / Manager in the gas industry managing high value projects associated with development of design, procurement, consent &delivery of high pressure transmission pipelines.Having transferred from the gas transmission industry (where I had spent the majority of my personal professional life) to the nuclear decommissioning arena I used my personal skills and attributes to enable a smooth transition. Within twelve months I had demonstrated sufficient competencies for Magnox to assign me as SQEP (Suitably qualified and experienced) giving them the assurance to invest sufficient confidence in my capabilities to lead and manage projects.My experience is across a range of different projects from high value capital investment projects (£5 - £30 million) and infrastructure projects ranging from £0.5 - £1.5m.All these projects are complex and set against a background of regulatory compliance. Examples of projects I have managed at the higher value and complexity are cross country high pressure pipelines and associated installations ranging between 4km to 40km. These projects involved developing the appropriate model for delivery through the appropriate project and contract strategies. They also involved consultation with statutory consulates (local authorities and government organisations) and stakeholders to enable consents and approvals
