Using my experience in team building, my strengths in process and merchandising along with the wealth of knowledge gained during my secondment roles to enable me to fulfil my position. As part of the role of Store Manager, I am responsible for the management and leadership of the store team, strategic planning and taking the lead on embracing, delivering and embedding the changes that a business needs to grow and develop. I am also responsible for operational standards, inventory control, loss prevention, keeping the store in line with health and safety legislation and operating legally.I oversee and drive sales and Key Performance Indicators including forecasting to accomplish results and disseminate data from reports to create SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely) action plans to improve results including creating formulated spread sheets. I schedule manpower to cover shifts within my store and also help to cover my local area. I use my communication and engagement skills to develop the customer experience garnering loyalty with the local community, whilst supporting charity events at both local and corporate levels.My coaching and training skills are used to manage and develop staff to enable them to achieve their full potential and succession goals on their career path. Regularly discussing the personal development plans of my team whilst also helping train peers through area presentations as well as sharing my own experiences and knowledge. My position also encompasses human resources skills involving me in recruitment and disciplinary procedures using my life experiences to counsel and help staff to become successful members of the team.
