During my time at Anafore, I was the lead designer for their new brick-and-mortar offering ‘Candybar’ – A tool to bring low cost digital loyalty cards to physical stores worldwide. As the lead designer for CandyBar, I lead the day to day Product development alongside two part-time developers from the ReferralCandy team. We ran a product cycle that included two-week sprints, including Research, design and development tickets. To explore how Design Research could be better implemented in the startup world, I set up a cycle of taking my team out to interview and meet local businesses using CandyBar and see the product in action, leading to many unexpected but positive development changes and roadmap shifts.
