Working as a I support the design, build and operate process by ensuring that changes are carried out following the Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions IT change process which is aligned to the ITIL V3 Framework.I risk assess any change to the IT estate and where possible create standard change documentation to enable other members of the IT team to carry out and implement changes to IT systems within strict governance. I personally manage and implement complex and operational changes. I ensure all systems are managed, maintained and upgraded according to our life cycle schedule. I work proactively to deliver new solutions and reactively to support our 3rd line engineers.I have significantly contributed to a number of successful projects including the mobilisation and integration of three independent companies into one new operating company encompassing staff and IT infrastructure in Ireland, the implementation of a mobile device management system and application deployment mechanism for IOS devices.

In my role as an Infrastructure Services Engineer my main duties included, the monitoring and maintaining of Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions IT estate alongside the proactive resolution of any issues before they affected service. I provided 3rd line technical support to other teams within the I.T. department and 24/7 support to the business as part of an on call rota.I was responsible for project managing new sites setup determining what network capacity would be required and what network technologies would be implemented, be this MPLS, internet VPN Satellite or 3G. Implemented infrastructure projects such as Siemens PLM software "TeamCenter" I played key role in the integration of two distinct IT systems following the merger of Balfour Beatty Utilities and Balfour Beatty Power Networks.

Working as the technical lead for the IT helpdesk I was responsible for providing support to approximately 2000 users across over 50 sites within the UK. I provided 2nd line support to the helpdesk as well as mentoring other members of the team.

As a Technical Services engineer I provided 2nd line support to the IT Helpdesk. I was responsible for the maintenance and delivery of desktop computing and the installation of infrastructure assets.

Providing support to SME's I was responsible for planning and implementing LAN Design. Providing break fix incident resolution and maintaining small to medium sized networks.
