Currently, I hold the position of Material planner and scheduler for aftermarket within Wrightbus. My main job is to ensure aspiration goals and targets are achieved. In order to accomplish this, I make sure to establish solid, cordial relationships with suppliers outside the organisation as well as raise purchase orders to raise demand for products for various departments such as sales or warranty. In addition I make sure lead times/ due dates are accurate and think of ways to better them. I use my problem solving abilities to pinpoint and comprehend the reasons behind why suppliers may be having issues. Ensuring that all systems, sales teams and makers involved are up to speed with accurate and current information is a crucial aspect of my job.
