Alix oversaw strategic planning and business operations for the Product Group, comprised of consumer and enterprise businesses, including All Things D, Barron’s, Dow Jones Newswires, Factiva, MarketWatch, SmartMoney and The Wall Street Journal. Alix led teams responsible for product strategy, strategic planning, capital planning, pricing and commercial policy decisions and audience insight and analysis. Preceding his time at Dow Jones, Alix was the chief operating officer of Newsweek Digital, responsible for strategy, product and business development and audience development and analytics. He also served as vice president of business development at BET Networks; chief operating officer of Carol’s Daughter Holdings, LLC; senior director of finance and strategy for Mobile ESPN, ESPN Wireless and Sports Ticker Division; and as an investment banker at JPMorgan in the telecommunications, media and technology division. Alix began his career at Goldman Sachs in the fixed income currency and technology division and in the quantitative strategies group of Goldman Sachs asset management.
