Responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of all company’s policies, procedures, and all activities involved in assuring the quality and safety of manufactured products. This position coordinates all Food Safety and Quality Management Program activities among departments at all Cacique locations and for Co-manufacturers, raw material suppliers, maintains the TraceGains software, provides customer documentation, acts as a recall coordinator, oversees department metrics and reporting, and acts as a back-up for the QA managers in case of their absence.

Provide Executive leadership in directing all aspects of international/domestic sales operations for this leading developer and manufacturer of microbiological sampling and rapid detection test kits that support industry specific food production, manufacturing, and processing operations. Utilize proven sales insight and business development expertise to devise and implement aggressive sales strategies to increase product brand/image internationally and achieve all sales/profit goals. Manage entire sales cycle from identifying/qualifying prospects, conduct product demonstrations, and present customized solutions to win new accounts. Educate and train distributors and customers regarding product/portfolio benefits.

Coordinated and directed all sales management strategies and client development activities to successfully promote and market the firm’s portfolio of food and animal safety products throughout the Central America, including Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Belize, and Dominican Republic. Developed and maintained strong relations with current/new clients to maximize territory sales. Tracked and administered regional budgets, guiding two sales representatives to achieve sales goals and reginal performance metrics. Designed and implemented long-term sustainable growth strategies for each country. Trained distributer sales teams to build strong market relationships.

Played critical role in leading the development and execution of strategic business plans spanning multiple departments and business units for this firm specialized in providing scientific and technical services to clients throughout food, agricultural and veterinary industries. Led team to perform all food safety and quality control audits for three co-packers and nine distribution centers within the Caribbean and Central American Region (CARICAM); created annual quality plan for entire CARICAM; increased client satisfaction by initiating complaint system for customers/consumers; credited for reducing operating budget by $10K a year by generating cost reduction initiatives; winner of CARICAM Passion Award Q4 ’12.

Drove process to plan and coordinate the execution of QC program at all production plants and distribution centers in Central American and Mexico for this Global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) company with over 300 restaurants, located in Central America, United States, and Spain; conducted food safety and quality systems audits on 100+ food processing plants and distribution centers; ensured product and operational safety at 40+ restaurants; restaurant-level expenditures by $200K, by optimizing restaurant operations and redesigning product packaging.
