Worked as an embedded software developer consultant supporting power and transportation projects.1. Migrated driver software to a new generation hardware for a HVAC system on an ARM Cortex-M7 with FreeRTOS. Scope included real time clock, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, NOR flash, touch screen. Language is C and C++.2. Developed firmware from software requirements for a boat steering system. Implemented state machines, control logic, CAN communication, UART, HMI in C with FreeRTOS on a STM32 microcontroller. Also integrated Ceedling unit test framework into the project, performed code static/dynamic analysis, code review.3. Designed a solar powered electric bike charger as a proof-of-concept project. Designed a voltage step down circuit, sourced circuit components then built a prototype on perfboards and programmed a STM32 microcontroller in C with FreeRTOS to control the system to charge a lithium battery.4. Tested electric vehicle MATLAB/Simulink model-based design software. Designed a unit test framework, derived test scenarios from software requirements, implemented tests with MATLAB scripts, analyzed test coverage with metrics such as MCDC, condition and execution.

Developed firmware for smart swim goggles in C running on a STM32 microcontroller.1. Wrote functions to extract features from inertial measurement unit data for a swim stroke classification algorithm and wrote unit tests to verify implementation correctness.2. Accelerated Bluetooth data transfer speed between a microcontroller and a smart phone.
