> Responsible for the day to operational performance, safety, security and customer satisfaction through effective support and management of the airside operation consisting at peak times of over 150 personnel.> Provide leadership for all staff involved in the delivery of ground handling services.> Set and ensure operational procedures achieve quality and performance standards to maximise service while consistently managing costs. Encourage growth and profitability.> Meet ground handling service performance objectives by monitoring,reporting and follow up of actual performances.> planning and implementation of manpower requirements for the operation.> Plan , develop and ensure the implementation of training plans.> Assess staff performance, conduct and coordinate staff appraisal with the Duty Management team.> Address any staff disciplinary issues which may arise.> Ensure appropriate reporting of all incidents which may include as and when required recommend and ensure the implementation of corrective action plans.> Build and maintain relationships with EAL and airline customers.> Ensure all risk assessments and standard operating procedures are in place , valid and followed within all area of the airside operation.> Control resource and cost allocation within budgetary restraints.> Asses training plans to ensure there are sufficient skills throughout the department to maintain operational excellence.> Ensure all training plans , materials and activities meet with relevant organisational and statutory policies including health and safety , employment and equality laws.> Arrange , participate and chair meetings with internal parties , EAL and airline customers locally and internationally.> Review daily GSE levels to ensure there is a sufficient number to maintain operational integrity.> Monitor the performance of key customer service indicators, plan and resource effectively including designing and implementing contingency plans.

> Produce and maintain rosters to ensure sufficient staffing and skill levels to cover all areas of the department.> Cover absences , leave and shortfalls by either adjusting rosters and advertising overtime as and when required.> Manage the airside department within budgetary constraints.> Accountable for all the ground services equipment along with managing good operational practices and maintaining operational service levels.> Develop and secure safe working practices.> Develop and forge a safe and efficient work force.> Ensure detailed reports are sent to company management and airlines covering any incidents and delays providing corrective action plans as and when required.> Report all safety occurrences in the company safety management system and conduct investigations as and when required.> Complete absence reviews inline with the company HR procedures.> Ensure all staff mandatory training is kept up to date.> Set training plans for all shifts, to which are followed by the training department.> Conduct risk assessments as and when required with the safety department.> Use a variety of company system including but not exhaustive. MORSE safety system, Telematics vehicle tracking, RSMS , Workbridge rostering tool, Time and attendance and Qlikview.> Respond to customer complaints in a satisfactory and timely manner.> Participate in recruitment days ensuring the correct personal are recruited for the correct areas of the business.

Lead a operational shift by ensuring rigorous health and safety standard are adhered to at all times and delivering consistent high performances. Maintain accountability for the operation on a daily basis. Implement continuous improvement plan for the team. Maintain control and accountability for the operation on a shift basis. Report all GSE defects to the GSE provider. Ensure all return to works are completed and kept up to date. Report all system occurrences in the company safety system. Ensure the correct resources are allocated to the correct flights at the correct times. Review allocation of flights for the forthcoming shifts and report any shortfalls to the head of department. Ensure company and airline SLS are kept up to date.Coach and Develop the ramp operational team. Perform Audits using the SMART system. Required to deliver effective problem solving and identify roots causes. Ensure all target are achieved, safety and OTP.
