I am a Defence Industry Adviser with the Office of Defence Industry Support. I also serve on several company boards in the technology and social impact space and am a partner in an Australian venture capital company. I was formerly an advisor with the $460m Federal Government Accelerating Commercialisation program. For the past 25 years, I have assisted emerging companies commercialise Internet, IT & Communications, energy (traditional and clean energy), materials, manufactured products and sustainable technologies. I was a founder and partner at Technology Venture Partners, a technology-focussed venture capital investment company which committed over $200 million in investors funds to a range of technology companies. I have been involved in high-growth businesses for the past 30 years, three of which were spent in Silicon Valley in the USA. Previously, I spent 8 years in Management Consulting with McKinsey & Company and as a Director of Ernst & Young’s Management and Technology Consulting practice after an early career in professional and systems engineering roles. I hold an Honours degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. I am a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and have a Masters research degree in Electrical Engineering - Renewable and Sustainable Energy.
