Managing All Servers operations on project Netware EOL for BASF LATAM, i was personally responsible for: - Creating the Specification of the Hardware and the purchase process with Hewlett Packard - Doing all the hardware changes on site to reduce the purchase cost, adding drive bays, new disks controllers and hard-disks, creating at the same time an standard hardware documentation and installation manual for future operations. - Creating new Servers and virtualizing existing ones using the P2V method - Creating a unified management platform, using vmware tools and products - Mapping the entire file structure present on Netware, and managing a team of four people to replicate this structure on Windows DFS and creating the corresponding Domain Controller groups and users. - Creating the entire documentation for the Local BASF team and the Germany IT provide support and continuation after the migration project was completed.Principal Projects and AccomplishmentsCentralized more than 30TB of critical data for all LATAM business and manufacturing units of BASF, with a new DFS node systems with failsafe capabilities.Centralized the Backup of these files on one master location, reducing the cost of having one backup schedule for every BASF site.The process to request access to files and folders was automatized using Active Directory instead of the old Netware.

Managing Daily infrastructure tasks, such as: - Managing our local server park, including Backup, Active Directory and File Server tasks. - Working with the UK Support and IT Management team on all local tasks - Providing end-user support on Windows and Apple platforms for Brazil and several LATAM Countries, as Brazil has the OUP Hub for LATAM - Managing day to day operations of Middleware applications like Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft ISA

Administration of small and medium-sized networks with Windows / Linux servers, including Active Directory, security policies, SQL server management. Also working with installation, configuration and maintenance of telephony networks in commercial buildings, with the management of Siemens Hicom / HiPath enterprise phone systems. Providing support of Microsoft and Apple workstations as well.
